Well Dr Beck is an authority in cognitive therapy and she uses those techniques to help people lose weight. She doesn't care as much about which diet you are using as long as you eat less calories she cares more about how you are going about the weight loss process. It is here where she is very helpful. Some of the weight loss tips she gave our listeners were: pre-plan your eating each day; only eat sitting down, remind yourself that hunger is never an emergency.
