Carl Jr. Kodakin-Yakeleya is Shutagot'ine (Mountain People) from the communities of Tulita and Deline First Nations located in the Sahtu Region of the Northwest Territories, Canada. He grew up living in many towns across the Northwest Territories and spent extended periods of time in the bush with his father and siblings. Now, as a father to 3 children of his own, Carl want to pass on the teachings that have protected these Lands for millennia. In this time of rapid climate change, the team at Ever Good Medicine believe in the power of healing through traditional values of connection to the Land, respect and preparation of medicines and sharing what we know and have.
