“Love is not rude. Love does not demand its own way. Love is not irritable, and loves keeps no record of when it has been wronged.” 1 Corinthians 13:5. For some, this is the hardest lesson of love--even harder than loving one's enemies. It's easy to love those who love us--when they are being lovable, but God wants us to exhibit real love and sometimes that means letting things go and not harboring ill feelings and acting out on them when it suits us.
