Join Rob for an early morning episode and see what's got his gears grinding this morning as we talk about goals over a cappuccino! Well...it's story time first - grab a coffee yourself!
I look back on the various epochs in my life and how I’m writing them:
Thinking of this in this way actually sheds some light on my goals for the upcoming 2021 year...
...which really need to be further broken down into goals for Q1 of 2021.
Speaking of goals...I get down on myself for many of the things that I haven’t done.
First and foremost, what’s worth noting is that after two years of using the Best Self Journal...
...I changed the way I have been using them.
For a few different reasons, I changed from using them in a “seasonal” manner – to “quarterly.”
Seems to make sense in a number of different ways...and change was made in October 2020.
That leaves us three seasonal journals...and finally the current, Q4 journal of 2020.
Let’s take a snapshot view of my goals for the 2020 year, shall we?
Notes
• New format was different and took some getting used to
• For several different reasons, decided to shift from using journals in a seasonal manner has had been done for the past 18 months...to using them in a “quarterly” manner
• There are also (3) areas to expand upon each goal
o Motivations
o Progress Milestones
o Critical Drivers
o Accountability
• New Features in Each Journal (to be further explored):
o Habit Tracker
o 13-Week Bucket List
o People To Connect With

Utilizing the New Journal Format, we can see “updated” Q4 Goals below:
Notes:
• No use of new features other than Habit Tracking
• Continued attempts to implement “SMART” protocol with goal setting
• Maintained goals from past journal

1. #1 – Health
a. Transition to KETO diet
2. #2 – Wealth
a. Exceed Savings Goal

As I think about the weekly review – today is actually the day I break open the new journal
Today is the day that I think about what my three goals are for Q1 of 2021
