"Fruit of the Spirit: Love"
Galatians 5:22-25 ESV

True love is from the Spirit and enables the heart to love God and others. Human love is centered on whatever pleases us in the moment, decays and deteriorates over time, and focuses on the very things which destroy us. God's love centers on what is righteous and pure, good, and filled with mercy and grace (1 John 1:5; 4:6). God's love is revealed in Jesus, who died for us while we were sinful and enemies of God. God's love is then expressed to us daily through the Holy Spirit, who is poured into us at the moment of salvation. How do we know we are really walking in the Spirit? And how can we truly love others, even those who are difficult? Love will grow as we saturate our minds with the Scripture, prayer, and meditate on all that God has done to express his love for us.

Galatians 5:22-25 English Standard Version (ESV)

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. 24 And those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.

25 If we live by the Spirit, let us also keep in step with the Spirit.
