The last voyage of the Demeter is a chapter from Bram Stoker's Dracula, featuring the log of the ship "Demeter" and the crew that succumbed to the demonic power of Count Dracula, in what boils down to just a basic slasher film where characters make dumb irrational decisions and false tension that builds from nothing all to get to Drac's next kill scene. The characters introduced from the beginning of the movie have obvious plot armor and you can tell how this one plays out early on, that being said the score, wardrobe, cast, and set design were all great considering the movies 40 million dollar budget. The CG looks a little off in some spots especially towards the end when there is just too much going on for the screen to handle it seems, the movie being dark most of the time and the big bad being a very very pale man makes it a very desaturated film which however, pairs with the setting of the movie nicely. I wouldn't say people should rush to the theatres to watch but if you like vamps check it out, otherwise just wait for streaming on this one! In our review we do not spoil the ending to preserve your watch of the film, that being said there are some minor spoilers regarding plot points to move along the review, thanks for watching/Listening everyone!
