With less than a week until Election Day, the Federal Reserve raises interest rates by 0.75%, in its sixth consecutive rate hike. President Joe Biden plans to address threats to democracy in an evening speech. Gov. Roy Cooper (D-N.C.) discusses midterms messaging on inflation and crime and his support for North Carolina’s Democratic Senate nominee Cheri Beasley.
