This week we’re talking Catholic Schools legislative advocacy with the Diocese of Camden’s Dr. Bill Watson, Superintendent of Schools and Sr. Rose Difluri, Assistant Superintendent, who chat about how state funds affect nonpublic schools but more importantly, Catholic School families. Dr. Watson and Sr. Rose discuss with hosts Marianela Nuñez and Mike Walsh the importance of advocacy work and the responsibility of all Catholics to extend their support with these efforts - to help nonpublic school children have access to the state funds available to enrich their educational experience.
On this episode you’ll hear us talk a lot about the New Jersey Catholic Conference, whose role it is to work with New Jersey legislators and the Governor’s Office in support of both Catholic Schools and other legislative concerns affecting the Catholic Church in general. To help advocate for our schools, we encourage you to go the NJCC’s voter voice page: https://njcatholic.org/faith-in-action.
