In this episode Dr Rui Ariyapala speaks with Dr. Christina Metzler Miller. Dr Miller is a graduate of the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA and obtained her MPH in Population Medicine at Loma Linda University, where she also completed a Family Medicine and Preventive Medicine Residency. While she was a resident, she founded and led a nonprofit free clinic in the city of San Bernardino.  She completed a fellowship in global health with World Medical Mission in Malawi. She recently co-founded another nonprofit, Cornerstone Group Consultants, assisting a number of organizations with grant writing, research, and publications. Dr. Miller is certified through the American Academy of Family Physicians Leading Physician Wellbeing program and as a lifestyle medicine intensivist with the American Board of Lifestyle Medicine. We delve into how she overcame her most challenging moments of residency and global health fellowship. Dr. Miller discusses how to stay in the “green zone” for wellness, sharing her Plan of Action for Resilience, which became one of her cornerstone practices of finding regenerative joy.
