We’re back on the road this week as Kari Janisse and Mike Walsh sit down with the volunteers who have kept the parish carnival of Our Lady of Peace Parish in Williamstown, NJ, up and running for nearly 50 years. We chat with the volunteers on the benefits to the parish, both in terms of funds raised and community activity, as well as what it takes to pull off a week-long event like this featuring rides, games, food and spirituality. If you’ve ever wondered if your parish should consider a carnival fundraiser, this is a great primer podcast.
And as a special treat, stick around till the end when Mike tries all the best foods this carnival has to offer :)
[Producer’s note: we recorded this in the midst of the carnival so there will be more background noise than usual.]
