SHOW NOTES
Shortly after their best bud and mini-schnauzer Dirk passed away (2:00) J.P. and Lisa took a healing trip to one of the best places to travel in our great state, Terlingua and Big Bend National Park.
In Part 1 they break down their trip out west (3:00) and if Lisa would go again. They had a surviving mini-schnauzer Daisy (5:00) that handled the trip like a champ. Guess who ended up sitting in the front seat most of the way!
They bunked in Alpine the first night (8:14) and the next morning they found a nice coffee shop, Cedar Coffee Supply and perused Front Street Books, which was a highlight of the trip. Then they made their way near Study Butte (14:00). Their cabin was truly off the grid (15:40) and the star gazing was AMAZING (16:55) and no surprise the sunrise was equally as impressive.
Oh yeah! Backing up a little bit the trip to the Chisos Mountains (18:49) was on the docket earlier in the day. They conclude Part 1 with a hot take that the chili might not be what it's cracked up to be (22:10).
RIP Dirkie. We miss you bud!
