In this podcast, Jim discusses Wave, an instant payment solution powered by Visa Direct. Highlighting some of the main features, Jim also gives us an insight into his new role as the Head of New Payments at Visa Canada and what are the new challenges, in his opinion.

Additionally, Jim highlights how Visa is a long-standing supporter of small businesses, providing a range of resources to SBs prior to the pandemic and continuing to do so. Visa encourages SBs to visit Visa’s Small Business Hub. It’s a localized online resource centre, providing tools, partner offers and information on how to start, run and grow digital-first small businesses. Also, Visa recently awarded ten, $10,000 CAD grants to Canadian women-owned small businesses as part of the first She’s Next Grant Program in partnership with IFundWomen. Building on the success of the first program, Visa Canada just announced the expansion of the She’s Next Grant Program. Ten additional women entrepreneurs in Canada will be awarded grants of $10,000 CAD each and receive business coaching for one year to support growing and expanding their business. Now until August 3, applications will be open to Canadian women entrepreneurs across all sectors at https://ifundwomen.com/visacanada.
