Here we go again, Los Angeles Football Club fans.
You always knew which team represented the most compelling possible postseason opponent for LAFC. We all did. The supporters watching the Los Angeles Galaxy and Minnesota United at Freeplay on Sunday erupted into "We want Carson" chants as soon as the final whistle blew. Once the game was set in stone, even coach Bob Bradley himself said "this is how it had to be."
It's LAFC vs Galaxy round VI, and the match has more on the line than the other five combined. Thursday's edition of El Traffico (Don't call it that in the presence of Coach Bradley though; he prefers LA Clasico) is, as always, packed with story lines, but a victory will put the winner on the verge of MLS Cup. None of those story angles are more important than that.
Ryan Wallerson of the Southern California News Group (Daily News) and Alex Dwyer of MLSsoccer.com discuss LAFC's mindset at the end of its 18-day break from game action and discuss the implications of Thursday's playoff match against Zlatan Ibrahimović and the Los Angeles Galaxy in Banc of California Stadium.
