“The Empire”, roundtable with Bruno Dumont

Niklas meets Bruno Dumont at the 74th Berlin International Film Festival where he screens for the first time since “Camille Claudel 1915” new film in the Main Competition section of the festival.

He explains his connection to the concept of good and evil, tragedy and comedy and their borderlines as well as to genre film in general and science-fiction in particular.

Furthermore he talks about the style evolution of his whole œuvre from the blunt naturalism of “La Vie De Jesus” to nowadays’ satires and gives a preview to his next film project and its tonality.
