Then the offense woke up in a big way with the five runs in the eighth inning which led to a big comeback win after they recorded three outs in the eighth. Luckily the third out was a wild pitch where Luke Maile took first and then after five hits and a walk the Guardians won and got a one-game lead in the division.
2. We dive into the details of the game handing out the three stars of the game along with getting deep into the box score. The Guardians pulled out an unbelievable win to remain first when it appeared they had lost this one. The division lead is always important but more so with a huge weekend series against the Chicago White Sox on deck.
3. We end up talking about those very same Chicago White Sox. They are a team that is struggling with health which is part of the reason the Guardians should have a lineup and bullpen advantage in this one. They also have a slight pitcher advantage as well due to Triston McKenzie and Shane Bieber being set to pitch in this one. We go position by position explaining why the Guardians should be able to take two out of three from the White Sox.
