We began the new week with coverage of the United Way. We had a conversation with Laurie Root, President of the United Way of Erie County.  Although she’s been with the United Way for over 11 years, she was named President just this past August. We learned about her background with the United Way, and what she has planned for her leadership of this local social impact organization as they pursue their mission to crush poverty.
