In this episode of 1050 Bascom, we were grateful for the opportunity to interview Prof. Scott Mobley, Associate Director of the Center for Liberal Democracy to talk about his research and teaching interests in international security and civil-military relations. Prof. Mobley, a retired naval officer, graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy and holds an M.A. in National Security Affairs from the Naval Postgraduate School. He also earned and M.A. and Ph.D. in History at the UW–Madison. Prof. Mobley shared his insights on the major international security issues facing the United States today. We also asked him about the fundamental questions at the core of his popular course, “The Civil-Military Paradox in U.S. Politics and Society.” We thoroughly ennjoyed our conversation with Prof. Mobley and hope you will too.
