What a year.
Los Angeles Football Club (21-9-4) has wrapped up the best regular season in Major League Soccer history on Sunday. Carlos Vela's hat trick against the Colorado Rapids on Decision Day was all LAFC needed to cap 2019 with a 3-1 victory that put the team in the league's record books.
Vela is the goal king, LAFC matched the 1998 Galaxy's goal record and broke its goal differential record. It also broke the 2018 Red Bulls regular season points record, which was 71 and is now 72.
Ryan Wallerson of the Southern California News Group (Daily News) & Alex Dwyer of MLSsoccer.com break down LAFC's historic performance against Colorado, give way too early assessments of the first round of the playoffs and off their favorite moments from the team's record-setting regular season.
