Arlis would often take walks to the church alone at night to pray; Bruce warned her that it wasn't safe...but she was so lonely, she wrote home in a letter saying "Friends are hard to find here.. Many times I've been tempted to go knocking on doors asking if anyone needs a friend. But I guess we just have to appreciate each other."
