Episode 030 - What is Your Why?
Motivation! How many times do you hear, “You have to keep yourself motivated!” It’s true. The real estate industry will beat you down if you let it.
Although this may sound altruistic and clichéd: EVERYONE needs a pick me up and a reason to get through those tough times. The question is, what motivates you?
Do you have some way to remember it on a daily basis? Just like a plan, your motivation needs to be in your face every day. In this episode we talk about the "how" and to your "why".
Find your motivation, write it down and let it lift you up when you need it most! Your clients will thank you!

- 15:30 – The business will kick you in the gut and kneecap you, Tonya Harding style. The motivation will remind you why you are taking those punches.
- 16:40 – What is the BTL team’s why?
- 17:10 – B: my kids! My legacy is important. Something to be proud of. They get the motivation and be the best they can be. My quote: “Remember who is watching!” I’m going to set an example to my kids.
- 18:24 – Christian, outside of the tens of dollars we pay him, what is his why? Like working with people, technical side is fun and enjoys the creativity. Making something out of nothing. Blank canvas is a blessing and a curse. Making something that is here now but wasn’t there before.
- 19:45 – Cate’s why: 1) kids, make sure they grow up to be happy and good people; 2) our agents, see them succeed and enjoy this career; 3) clients, love seeing them enjoy their homes and make it their home. Warms her heart to see them enjoy their home.
- 20:25 – Those are things that really matter…Cate also her eye on a Porsche GT 911.
- 21:05 – Quote of the Episode: Zig Ziglar, “People often say motivation doesn’t last. Neither does bathing, that’s why we recommend it daily.” You need motivation EVERY, SINGLE, DAY!
