E50 - Six tips to follow to make your content concise - what if we had a limited amount of words

Imagine a world where there was a limit to the total number of words that you could use in one day - the play Lemons, Lemons, Lemons, Lemons, Lemons shares a world with a word limit!  You’re going to speak more than 123 million words in your lifetime. What will you do when they run out?

Let's apply this imagined word limit to our podcast - what would you do if you only could use a certain number of words in your podcast?  What would you trim, what would you leave out, how could you say what you want to say in a more concise manner - what would you do if your words mattered?  But they do!

Here are 6 tips for new podcasters to create clear and organized content:

1. Start with a clear plan: Before recording, write an outline of what you want to cover in the episode. This will keep you on track during recording and make sure all important points are covered.
2. Use easy to follow language: Speak clearly and use simple language that is easy for your audience to understand.
3. Keep it short: People's attention span is short, try to keep your episodes as short as possible while still covering important information.
4. Edit your podcast: Listen to your recording and make changes to improve the overall quality of the episode before publishing.
5. Add value: Always make sure to provide your audience with useful and interesting information.
6. Get feedback: Listen to your listeners feedback, it can give you an idea of what they want to know and what they think about your podcast.
