Matthew 11:25-30 ESV

In order to be Christlike, you must be gentle and lowly of heart. Biblically, the heart is the center of our being. Your heart is who you really are. We often bury who we really are under our exterior roles, abilities, and activities. When we are saved and redeemed however, Christ gives us a heart of flesh in place of our heart of stone, and our true identity becomes that of a child of God. Our hearts then become like Christ’s: gentle, humble, and inviting. This is crucial for Ministry, where a humble heart will draw others to Christ through us. How can we grow spiritually in this way? We should come to Jesus, recognizing that he is the only solution for our sin; lay our hearts open to others; Yolk our lives to Jesus; and practice allowing his gentleness and love to flow through us by laying down our rights, rank, and privileges.
