- A new place to listen to podcasts? Podcast host Podeo is to distribute its podcasts in imo, a call and message app used by more than 200 million people. The app also has audiobooks and more content in Bengali and Saudi.
- Spotify’s Megaphone is now an associate member of ACPM, one of France’s podcast measurement services. ACPM’s January 2024 numbers show the top ten publishers increased downloads by 14.9% year-on-year - Android has more than a 70% market share in the country, so no iOS 17 issues there.
- ToneDen’s “podlinks”, which use the podlink
.to domain, stopped working late last week (along with some other .to addresses of theirs). The company, which is owned by Eventbrite, has not responded for comment; it seems to be a DNS issue.
