The California Legislature has passed a potentially groundbreaking bill that would give fast food workers better working conditions and pay. AB 257 is now at Governor Newsom's desk, and if he signs it into law, a state fast food council will be established that would have the power to impose minimum standards on wages, hours, and conditions related to health and safety.
