BIO:

Jerry Schemmel is a play-by-play announcer and color analyst for the Colorado Rockies. Before that, he did play-by-play for the Denver Nuggets, Minnesota Timberwolves, and Colorado State. He is a survivor of the crash-landing of United Airlines Flight 232 on July 19, 1989. After escaping the plane, he returned to the wreckage to rescue an 11-month-old baby. His book, Chosen to Live, describes this incredible experience. He is also the host of the nationally-syndicated radio show, Amazing Americans.
