2020 was a year that took everyone through so many difficult experiences and deep emotions, and I would even go as far as to say trauma. Sometimes, as as the mom, it can be difficult to know how I can best reach the heart of my child and serve them well when they have been through something so traumatic.
I have an expert, Lori Crosby, with me today. Lori is a Marriage and Family Therapist and a Registered Play Therapist. I have seen her truly empathetic heart for moms and children as she also has 2 children of her own and has walked through these difficult storms as a mom herself.
Seeing the need in the church for a better understanding and practical tools for serving children who have been through trauma, Lori and her husband have written a book together called, "Trauma Informed Children's Ministry: A Practical Guide For Reaching Hurting Kids."
