It was mental health week here on Fix Radio. Clive started off the week by discussing world mental health day and the worrying statistics that are still ever present within the industry. He spoke to Bill Hill CEO of the Lighthouse Club Construction Charity and Peter Kelly from Mates in Mind.
Then Clive focused on how we can raise awareness within the industry. He heard some fantastic inspiring stories from Andy Bishop who is a mental health first aider and Toby Peacock, Screwfix's Tradesperson of the year.
Then Clive asked how we can cope with our mental struggles. He heard some incredible advice and coping mechanisms from Nottingham Forest legend Mark Crossley, Tom Chantry and Matthew King.
And to finish off proceedings, he asked what can your workplace do to help with your mental health along with asking what steps sole traders should follow. Clive spoke in depth on this topic with Peter Cape from Band of Builders and Daisie Ree-Evans from the Chartered Institute of Building.
