For this episode, I will only be able to speak for myself when I talk about paying guests in order to come onto podcasts. 

I do not know how any other podcasters run their show in this regard, but I can tell you that there is a huge factor of popularity that plays a role in this. (and greed of course) 

There are also some figures out there now that charge anyone to talk to them about anything. Because they feel like they are that important to the world. 

At the end of the day, I guess it really comes down to what each party wants.

If the podcaster has a stronger desire for the guest to appear on the show... then guess who'd probably have to pay. And on the flip side... if a guest really wanted to appear on a certain show, maybe they could pay their way onto it.
