Speaking of using AI to transform data; I recently started using Nextcloud Cookbook (it's fantastic). It has a feature where you paste in URL to a site that's compliant with the schema.org recipe format. This allows you to automatically import recipes into your own cookbook.. the issue is that a lot of the blogspammy sites don't follow this schema! Last week I had a thought: "AI could probably fix this!". So I found a recipe I liked, copied the content of the page, then wrote the following (1/*)

Forgot to boost this in last week for a show suggestion, so to make up for it, I also signed up for a show membership too. It spit out the properly formatted recipe, complete with ingredients, steps, and nutrition information! I pasted the response into an html file, spun up a small flask server, then pasted the resulting URL into Nextcloud Cookbook and it worked like magic! Imagine if they integrated AI directly into the app so it can read any website without all this extra effort! Cool stuff. (2/*)
