This week, we got back on the mic after a few near-misses with internet hiccups and recording anxiety, then dug into what I’ve been shipping in Boost Me Bitch and Boost Me Buddy. We talked through the new playback-speed controls, why the app now exists both as a PWA and a Zap Store Android app, and how both versions are powered from the same repo with separate deployments. Reed also shared detailed real-world feedback after using the app as a daily driver, including what’s working well, what still feels rough around playback history and boosting after the fact, and which features might be worth adding next. From there, we zoomed out into the bigger picture: how boosts, charts, and listener activity can become open discovery layers when more of that data gets pushed onto Nostr. We compared what Booster Bot, MSP bot, OnlyBoosts, and older chart experiments are trying to do, talked through privacy and opt-in tradeoffs around publishing payment metadata, and spent some time on Nostr onboarding, key management, signer tools, and how to make the whole experience less intimidating for newcomers. We wrapped by shouting out Sir Libre’s V4V Music update that lets spoken-word sections play at 2x while songs automatically drop back to 1x—a genuinely killer feature for music-heavy shows.Boost Me Bitch: https://www.boostmebitch.com/OnlyBoosts: https://onlyboosts.social/V4V Music: https://v4vmusic.com/Music Side Project Studio (MSP 2.0): https://musicsideproject.com/Local Bitcoiners: https://localbitcoiners.com/Podverse: https://podverse.fm/Fountain: https://www.fountain.fm/appPodcasting 2.0: https://podcasting2.org/Podcast Index: https://podcastindex.org/Sidecar: https://sidecar.top/Zapstore: https://zapstore.dev/Vercel: https://vercel.com/Visual Studio Code: https://code.visualstudio.com/Claude: https://claude.com/PayPerQ (PPQ AI): https://ppq.ai/
