Drummer Marco Conelli has spent most of his music career being the front person of his own original projects. The Marco Conelli Complex achieved a significant amount of success, releasing two well-received CD’s; 1995’s “Expectations and Dismay” and “Songs from Forgotten Children” in 1999. Both garnered international airplay ranging from Radio 1 BBC in the UK to ZEDD FM in Australia. Back in the states; “Here Comes Janine Again” was in regular rotation on LI stations, including WLIR, and the band opened for national acts at that time including, The Fixx and Missing Persons. Marco went solo after the Complex and released two CD’s, “Measuring the Walls” and “Sitting in Snow.

The Complex:

Skillfully navigating the line between power pop and new wave, The Complex melded catchy hooks with introspective lyrics to audience appeal. Infiltrating the college radio scene with their 1996 debut release "Expectations & Dismay," The Complex soon found their way onto the airwaves of Long Island's WLIR FM with the hit Here Comes Janine Again. Marco Conelli, Ronnie DiMaria, and Tommy Vinton performed frequently on the New York City scene while in the studio worked under the production of Brian Unger. In 2000 The Complex released their follow-up album "Songs From Forgotten Children". In November 2021 The band reunited on Long Island for the first time in over 14 years.
