In this sermon, I draw a straight line from the Bible’s warnings about Baal worship to what I contend are the moral and spiritual crises of our time. Beginning with passages such as 1 Corinthians 9, Isaiah 5:20, and 1 Kings 18, I argue that when a people forsake God, they invite bondage, corruption, and deception—echoing the cyclical pattern seen in Judges and the prophets. I survey scriptural and archaeological references to Baalism and claim that many modern practices and cultural trends mirror those ancient errors, calling listeners to repentance, prayer, and courageous allegiance to Jesus Christ. I also challenge the Church to recognize spiritual enemies, discern false teaching, and recover a clear sense of identity rooted in Scripture. The charge is simple but urgent: test everything by the Word, resist perversion of truth, and stand firm in proclaiming the gospel with wisdom and boldness.'Scriptures for America (Ministry Website)': https://www.scripturesforamerica.org'Isaiah 5:20 (Bible passage)': https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Isaiah+5%3A20&version=KJV'1 Kings 18:17–18 (Bible passage)': https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1+Kings+18%3A17-18&version=KJV'Judges 2 (Bible passage)': https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Judges+2&version=KJV'Judges 10 (Bible passage)': https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Judges+10&version=KJV'Numbers 22 (Bible passage)': https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Numbers+22&version=KJV'Numbers 25:1–9 (Bible passage)': https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Numbers+25%3A1-9&version=KJV'Jeremiah 19 (Bible passage)': https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Jeremiah+19&version=KJV'Revelation 2:14 (Bible passage)': https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Revelation+2%3A14&version=KJV'John 15:20–25 (Bible passage)': https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=John+15%3A20-25&version=KJV'2 John 7–11 (Bible passage)': https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=2+John+7-11&version=KJV'Luke 1:71 (Bible passage)': https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Luke+1%3A71&version=KJV'1 Corinthians 9:7–14 (Bible passage)': https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1+Corinthians+9%3A7-14&version=KJV'1 Corinthians 15:25 (Bible passage)': https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1+Corinthians+15%3A25&version=KJV'Halleys Bible Handbook (Zondervan)': https://www.zondervan.com/9780310558987/halleys-bible-handbook'Zondervan Pictorial Bible Dictionary': https://www.zondervan.com/9780310331887/zondervan-pictorial-bible-dictionary'Institute for the Study of Ancient Cultures (formerly Oriental Institute), University of Chicago': https://isac.uchicago.edu'Palestine Exploration Fund (Gezer Excavations resources)': https://www.pef.org.uk'Planned Parenthood (organization)': https://www.plannedparenthood.org'American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU)': https://www.aclu.org
