Regarding tech layoffs. I've had 3 friends affected by the mass layoffs. Last one took a new job offer this week. I work for a mid-size IT consulting company (about 2000 employees). We are constantly looking for new folks, especially devs, not because of turnover but growth. Folks in my specific office are frequently pushing over 100% billable hours. I think any recession that happens will be because of big tech pumping their stock values at employees expense.
