As the gospel spread, a young Jewish idealist, named Saul sought to destroy Christianity, but God had another plan. This devout Jewish man became one of Christianity's messengers to the Gentiles (those who are not Jewish). Paul wrote most of the New Testament letters to the churches to help them understand the gospel. Along the way, many others worked with him to deliver these messages. He did not let threats, jail, beatings, calamity, or ailments turn him away from his mission.
