In this episode we will be covering different roles we might be playing on the ‘drama triangle’, first described by Stephen Karpman in 1961.
Do you often feel hopeless?
Is anger your first reaction when circumstances come up?
Do you tend to blame others when things aren't going your way?
Do you feel the need to save others and end up overdoing it?
Here we are playing one of the three roles on the drama triangle: the victim, the persecutor, or the rescuer. These roles tend to create drama in any type of relationship and leave us feeling like things our of our control.
I know through personal experience, how easy it is to slip into any of these roles; however, once we learn to recognize the game and apply the tools that work, we will enjoy having healthier relationships, and become more assertive and empowered.
