Australian Rohan Dennis (BMC) crossed the finish line safely at the end of the Giro d'Italia 206km opening stage from Alghero to Olbia in Sardinia. He finished in 30th place on the same time as the winner, Lukas Pöstleberger (BORA-hansgrohe).
