What If You Could Fire Your Government? | Brendan Guest | BIS #224
The Bitcoin Infinity ShowBrendan Guest joins the Bitcoin Infinity Show to talk about Valuearchy, his proposed alternative to democracy that puts the price of government on the ballot before the vote and replaces taxation with enforceable contracts citizens can stop funding when leaders break them. Knut goes full Rothbard, pressing him on whether any government holding a monopoly on violence can truly stay accountable, as they dig into Hoppe’s Democracy: The God That Failed, time preference under monarchy, and why democracies drift toward ever bigger spending. They also cover El Salvador under Bukele, Brendan’s concerns about crime in Canada, and why Knut sees saving in Bitcoin as the most practical personal defense against inflation and government overreach.
