Because of her work with foster and adopted children, Kim is very familiar with grief and loss. The death of her son, who had struggled with addiction most of his life, was especially hard to heal from. During her reading with Theresa, Kim is able to process this horrific loss and what it means for her family, including her son's children who she has adopted as her own.
