Known for his sharp wit and wise mind, Mark Twain was a celebrated writer during his lifetime. A friend of interesting figures Nikola Tesla and Thomas Edison, his started out in his career as a steamboat man before chasing adventures around the world as a writer. He was much-loved during his lifetime and is said to have delivered speeches that were the equivalent to today's stand-up comedy.
