One of the more positive community events of the Christmas season has sadly faced the chop, with WA's RSLs unable to afford providing gifts for struggling veterans.

The unfortunate decision has been made with shock and outrage by long-time RSL members, yet the organisation says it has become more and more difficult to support veterans while keeping their doors open.
