I had a hard time understanding what the point of the Synonym project was at first. The light bulb turned on when I realized that Synonym amounts to a response to the growing divide between the “bitcoin-only, maxi” crowd and the “shitcoin, NFT” camp. it seems to me that point of Synonym is to steal the best marketing hype from the altcoin sphere and built them into bitcoin, and that’s pretty cool.

it’s March 2023. the wallet launched it’s called bitkit I like it alot but it’s still very early but the UI/UX is slick. in the bitkit wallet you can use slashtags. used it for two sites one it worked great the other It stopped working. still no tokens yet but they did get tether on Lightning in a test setting
