On this podcast episode I talk about raising private money from private lenders. Many beginners that don't have much money want to know the "secret" to raising money.
The reality is that there is no secret. The secret is approaching investors in the right way and knowing how to find those investors.
You see if you ask people who have money to invest with you, they will invariably say no. The secret that you need to understand is that you need to focus on what THEY NEED. They need security, and they need to know that you are going to pay them their interest payment every month, and they are going to need to know that their investment is safe and that they have collateral. And finally, they are going to need to know that you know what you are doing and that you have some experience. If you can show them those 4 things then you will have no problem raising capital.
