S4 Ep126: All In The Game, Yo with 2Cents El, Elliot Barr, & Kyle Carr
In Episode 126 takes in a triple threat of guest hosts- El Johnson of 2CentsFC, Kyle Carr of Featherstone Flamingos, and Elliot "Yogi" Barr is back for a 2nd week in a row, and TK jumps in via satellite on his Florida vacation!
To kick off the show we go in on some Culture and discuss the recently released Certified Lover Boy by Drake. We tried to compare it to Kanye's Donda, but come to find out Donda ain't getting a lot of, even after Drake leaked a cut dropped from Donda by Andre 3000!!
We start off the soccer talk with the US Men's rocky start to World Cup Qualifiers against El Salvador and Canada (episode recorded prior to Honduras) and the drama of Weston McKennie getting sent home for multiple Covid violations and the ramifications of W-McK now making this violation both for club and country. To catch back up from last week, we make mention of some significant transfers made at the end of the summer transfer window and the (temporary) that going into the international break, Spurs sit on top of the EPL standing and Arsenal was dead last.
In the 2nd half of the show we celebrate Yogi's 100th Episode of Rivercity93 going into the week of the Henny Derby, and get his and Kyle's thoughts on Forward and Richmond going into the game.
We also pay tribute to actor Michael K. Williams who passed away earlier this week at 54. Mr. Williams starred in many notable show HBO shows such as Boardwalk Empire, Lovecraft Country, but is likely most remembered for the role of Omar Little in the acclaimed program "The Wire"- big things happening in 2UP/2Down and of course, MORE!!
