Much of Western Christianity places a high focus on orthodoxy (right beliefs) and will even explore orthopraxy (actions/behaviors). What about our passions, desires, and fires within (orthopathy)? These realities within our souls can lead us into all kinds of bondage and create pain for ourselves and our neighbors, but the love of God is always inviting them back home into his refuge and care. This allows our passions and desires to be shaped in right ways for our own healing and that of the world.
