Kelvin Washington Jr. is the Executive Director of Mentoring is a Must, a great non-profit organization dedicated to supporting young black males, as they strive to achieve their full potential. Young freshman boys who have been determined to be at greatest risk of dropping out and entering into the school to prison pipeline are paired with paid mentors who walk with and support them through the four years of high school. The results are amazing, but what you could expect when there is support and belief in a person. 100% graduate High School, 100% have college acceptance. 90% graduate from college. Others move on to trade schools. Young black men's lives are literally being saved.
