Episode #81. Jared was a guest on Jen's Unbreakable Boundaries Podcast back in February. We are like two best friends that haven't seen each other in 6 months. We hung out and talked for at least 15 minutes before recording. This was such a wonderful conversation. Jen's perspective on recovery and addiction and mental health will really help you.

Jen's BIO:

Jennifer Maneely is the founder of Maneely Consulting, Inc. a coaching firm with families who have loved ones in addiction or trauma related substance abuse. She works with the families to help them develop strategies and coach them on setting effective, supportive, and loving boundaries so that their loved ones can get the help they need, and the families don't go down with them.

 

Her work is informed by her own gut-wrenching journey through addiction. She knows what it takes for someone to become willing to get the help they need. Going through this journey with her own family, she recognizes the need for the families to get support too. Along with coaching individuals, she is a #1 best-selling author of "Dear Parents: Strategies to Help Your Loved One Through Addiction," a book that provides strategies, guidance and hope for any parent at any stage of substance abuse.

 

Before starting her own business, Jennifer Maneely worked with a corporate leadership development company. The company specializes working with senior executives of large Fortune 500 companies. She started as the content manager and moved into working more closely with the senior executives as a leadership coach. Through working with the corporate executives, she continued to find a large number of these executives were also parents with addicted children. Combining her experience with addiction and corporate leadership skills, she found blending the two for these executive parents made a powerful impact and difference. The parents started pivoting how they were handling themselves through their loved one's addiction, and the loved ones suffering with the substance abuse often started getting better. Sometimes slowly, sometimes quickly, and only when they were ready, but they were getting better.
