SovereignBTC Episode 11 – Bitcoin, Banks, and Bailouts

I was invited to participate in a panel at the Texas Libertarian Party Convention called Bicoin, Banks, and Bailouts. The panel was all about Regulation, the future of Bitcoin, and the value of using decentralized peer to peer technologies. In this edition of the SovereignBTC podcast, we bring you the panel discussion in its entirety as well as a few conversations I had while at the convention.

On the first day of the convention I ran in to Harlan Deitrich, owner of Brave New Books, the first brick and mortar in the state of Texas to accept Bitcoin. We chat about retail integration, cold storage, and more.

Then I had the chance to speak with Ben Swann of the Truth in Media Project. We talked Bitcoin, freedom, and free markets.

Before the event ended, I caught up with Matthew Whittington, a Bitcoin entrepeneur who is developing a Texas Bitcoin exchange. We talk about the regulation involved and his decision to accept 7 other crypto currencies in addition to Bitcoin.

Finally, we bring you the panel Bitcoin, Banks, and Bailout, which featured Ben Swann moderating, Michael Cargill of Central Texas Gun Works, Dr. Lucas Rentschler, and yours truly. It was a great discussion and I'm glad I can present it to you.

It was a great convention and as is the case at most conferences and events these days, Bitcoin was a great topic of discussion amongst the attendees. Big thanks to the Texas LP leadership for inviting me to speak.

Remember, use Bitcoin, live free, and prosper.
