New California privacy rules will go into effect on Saturday, but a new report released today by Common Sense Media reveals nearly half of products or apps people use do not follow the policies. The California Privacy Rights Act was passed by voters in 2020 to strengthen privacy protections and technically became law in January, but the enforcement doesn't start until July 1st.
