In this episode, Peter Burkin shares his very personal journey of mental health struggles and being told at the end of University that he should go on disability. At the same time, his sister offered him a lifeline –the opportunity to coach football and be in service. This changed Peter’s view of himself, and his self-worth and set him on a path of becoming a teacher and continuing to learn the skills to manage his mental health. Now Peter shares his knowledge with others and is consulting with high schools to implement better programs to support our teens, while also coaching private clients.  This is a powerful story where he shares his strategies to get through every day, and where he has needed support along the way.
