The Mom Bod Series
Is the Dad bod something that men fear? Do men feel they must maintain a certain physique as they age? We have been in the “Mom Bod Series,” so today we are spreading the love to the Dads and exploring the stereotypes associated with a Dad bod! We discuss the stigmas and stereotypes men, and those who identify as male, may experience as their bodies age and change. We interview Aaron Flores, RDN on his thoughts about the pressures men experience to express masculinity physically and emotionally. Aaron explores how suffering silently takes a toll on men’s mental health and relationship with their bodies and food. Aaron gives tips to men on how to explore their body image messaging, support their partners as they navigate their relationship with changing bodies, and set the tone in the household for body positivity.
